This week’s full moon takes place early Thursday morning, October 17th, so you can run and hide or take a deep breath and get ready for battle! Known as the Hunter Moon, it takes place in the astrological sign of ARIES – reflected in the WARRIOR archetype, with FIERCE energy – so use it to find your courage, own your power & stand up for yourself. It’s an invitation to be brave and to face your darkness so you can fight your way back into the LIGHT!

 

Aries full moons fill you with energy and passion, and the focus should be fully on you. Aries is about “me / the SELF ” and in particular, relationship dynamics come into focus, so it’s a good time to face your emotional wants / needs / desires in all your relationships. TENSION and FEELINGS may rise to the surface, and if you feel a little stuck, use this moon’s energy to face it ALL!

 

What is it you want? Start to pursue it at last, be bold, and set boundaries if you need to.

Get real, get brave and you will get greater awareness and clarity in all your connections.

Full Moon’s are great opportunities to bring situations in your life to a natural conclusion, so it may be time to turn some things around, to let go of what’s no longer working for you.

 

Astrologically, this period brings potential for emotional breakthroughs. Your shadow may come up front and center, so be careful of making fear based decisions. Aries energy is impulsive and bull headed, so be wary of taking action when feeling triggered, insecure, frustrated or jealous.. it probably won’t end well!!! Give your energy an outlet…exercise, yell out loud, shake it out and then get into water – dip your feet into the ocean, lake, pool, take a shower or bath!

 

This full moon brings you back to the Aries full moon in April, so it may bring up similar themes from 6 months ago! Have a think about what was happening then..what you faced! Reflect on your progress, give yourself credit for any growth your experienced and be open to new possibilities and ways of looking at things.

Bright Full Moon
FULL MOON

 

Some part of me is deeply connected to the moon, and for many years, I have gone to the beach to watch the full moon rising out of the ocean. It’s a magical moment as glorious as any sunrise.

 

Bringing the moon into your spiritual practice, I find is a really great way to tune into your life in a deep and more connected way.  The sun shows us everything in clear daylight, the Moon works with darkness & the shadows…such a metaphor for healing and transformation.

 

Moon rituals are an AWESOME tool for spiritual growth and awareness, reminding us that just like the moon cycle, our lives also go through phases of growth and renewal. Theses cycles spiritually represent beginnings and endings by bringing awareness around your dreams and desires, as well as completion to things in your life that may not be benefiting you on your journey.

 

That mysterious ball of rock spinning 239,000 miles from Earth has been the source of myths and superstitions for centuries. It takes around 30 days to make its orbit around the Earth, 29.5 days to be exact and is measured from new moon to new moon.

 

During the Middle Ages, philosophers and scientists believed that a Full Moon caused ‘unusual behavior,’ seizures, and episodes of fever and rheumatism. Luna, the Latin word for the moon… Caused lunacy. Patients were called lunatics which literally means “Moon Sick.”

 

I always feel the approach of the Full Moon viscerally & if you pay attention to the world around you, you’ll notice it too. Tides rise during a Full Moon and in our bodies, which are over 75% water, it seems the full moon has an effect on our physiology. I always remind my students and clients to take time to slow down and ground themselves during the four days surrounding a Full Moon. The energy rises, people become aggressive on the roads, impatient and reactive… so take deep breaths, and try not to react when people around you are going nuts!!

 

Full Moons mark the end of a cycle. It’s a time for celebration and gratitude, appreciating how far you have come, survived, and what you have learned along the way.

 

It’s also the perfect opportunity to check in with yourself and shed light on areas of your life that are not working for you or serving your greater good! These are thoughts, behaviors, or patterns you are accustomed to. They are even people you have outgrown, even old jeans you’ll never fit back into. They are deep-rooted limiting beliefs, toxic situations, relationships, and emotions that you haven’t previously been ready to get rid of. The Full Moon is the perfect time to take that energy and LET THAT SHIT GO!

 

 

A Time For Clearing, Appreciation & Honoring Yourself

 

Moon rituals are a great way to clear the emotional and psychological clutter in your life. They also help you get back in touch with that sense of wonder you had as a child when magic seemed to be waiting just around every corner. While they don't have to be elaborate or take up a lot of your time, they're still a great way to appreciate your emotions, strengthen positive connections (or cut those unhealthy negative ties), and honor yourself by taking care of your whole being.

 

 

 

FULL MOON RITUALS:

 

  • Full moons are all about releasing what does not serve you. Let that shit go!

  • Light a candle and write on a piece of paper what you wish to release from your experience. Safely burn the piece of paper or tear it into pieces to release it all.

  • If you have crystals in your home, place them outside in the moonlight to be cleansed and recharged.

  • Moon bathe.. stand out and let the full moon rays cover your body. Again, if you focus or speak what you want to release, consider the job done.

  • Take A full moon bath, with minerals or Bath salts, grounding yourself, purifying and releasing everything into the water.

  • Full Moon Affirmations are a great addition to your Full Moon Ritual. They are your declaration to the Universe that you are open and READY for what you speak or write OUT LOUD. Ask and you shall receive! 

 

 

 

 

NEW MOON

During a New MOON, the sky is dark and it’s like a blank slate for CREATION…it’s a great time for you to decide what you want to bring into your life this coming month! It’s about setting your intentions for manifestation. It’s like pressing the reset button all over again.

 

NEW MOON RITUAL:

  • Light a candle, close your eyes and picture one thing that you want more than anything.

  • Create the visual and then the key is to FEEL what that would be like.. how it feels, looks, smells, sounds, tastes! CREATE it with your senses.

  • In your journal, write out your intention in as much detail as you can, expressing on the page WHY you want this particular thing, this experience.

  • At the bottom, write “AND SO IT IS!”

  • Blow out your candle and place your hand on your heart to seal it in.  

 

 

CRESCENT MOON

I particularly love seeing a crescent moon as it peeps out of the darkness. It feels like a new beginning and that’s exactly what it represents! It’s symbolic of rebirth…it’s all going to be OK because now the light has come.

 

CRESCENT MOON RITUAL:

  • Now its time to check in with the actions you are taking to move towards your dreams & goals.

  • Get organized with a calendar, make a list.

  • Share your goals with a friend so they can help you be accountable.

 

 

 

Look up at the sky and Bathe in that light!

Vibes don’t lie. People do, but their energy doesn’t. On one hand there’s the people that make you feel good. You like being in their presence. Then there’s the ones that make you go “hmm,” take several steps back and run for your life! 

 

Vibes don’t lie when you have a conversation that just feels “off”.. speaking about something or someone and suddenly you get shivers down your arm. “That gave me goosebumps!” you may say.  

 

Vibes don’t lie when you walk into place that makes you feel good, feel totally relaxed, instead of making you feel uneasy, or uncomfortable.  Vibes don’t lie when there’s music that makes you want to move, dance and takes you away to a beautiful place, like the reggae that sparks feelings of sunshine, sea, and sand.

 

Such is the power of VIBRATIONS!


We are energetic beings. Our inner & outer world is one of vibration, energy, and frequency. Externally, the world we currently live in, the country we live in, the area, our surroundings, our homes, all have a distinct "feel." Internally, our thoughts, feelings, emotions and aspirations also have a distinct vibrational frequency that determine the nature of our reality. Vibrations have the power to heal, transform, and shape our experience, determining who we are and how we interact with the world around us. As I have delved into parts of my own self-growth journey, I have discovered the transformational power of energy in my life and now as part of my work.. and its pretty wild!

 

The Science Behind Vibrations


So the question is, how do you go about boosting the power of your antenna, so that you pick up on energies around you, tune into signals given off by people’s frequencies and ultimately protecting your energy & vibration? How do you attract everything good that you desire into your life?

 

It all comes back to energy.


Nikola Tesla said: If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.


Bob Marley sang a song about Positive Vibrations:

"Live if you want to live That's what we got to give!  Got to have a good vibe!"

 

Quantum Physics demonstrates that once we break everything down to its core, everything is pure energy..at the sub-atomic level we do not find matter, but pure energy. Some call this unified field we live in “the matrix,” a term in pop culture synonymous with the name of mega movie trilogy. One thing everyone seems to agree on… everything is energy.

Energy, which attracts, like a magnet ,attaches to energy of the same vibrating frequency. "Water seeks its own level."



 

Vibrations Affect Our Emotions

 

When a thought is given energy, we get emotion. E-MOTION.. Energy in motion. Sad thoughts create tears, a physical manifestion and expression of the emotion. Something funny will make you smile or laugh. Its said that if you see someone smile, it triggers the mirror neurons in the brain. The way you are affected by your emotions and the way you deal with them will determine the frequency your energy is vibrating. The higher the frequency, the lighter you feel in your physical, emotional, and mental bodies.

 

Frequency is how often Something happens..the number of cycles in the wave. Music - particularly fast dance music, has a higher frequency and makes you want to get up and move to the beat…some can be agitating and make you feel like smacking someone. Linkin park was my soundtrack when I would wakeboard or snowboard in my youth! It put me into attack mode, made me charge and have no fear. Fast beats were great for my motivating dance classes, soothing Binaural beats great for yoga & meditation, This we know.


Music and also its lyrics carry a strong vibration, so be aware and conscious about what you listen to. Use the music to uplift you and pay attention to the the energy of the lyrics. Do they inspire you or create a lower vibe mood? Classical music is said to be of the highest vibration, take a little listen to Beethoven’s Chilled classics and see how you feel. 

 

Using Vibration for Healing

I use sound frequencies in my healing practice, using the sounds and frequencies of Quartz crystal bowls, and Tibetan bowls. Each bowl carries a sound frequency that works on a cellular level, in a way that researchers claim leave people feeling, "calmer, happier and more relaxed."

 

In 1974, Dr Colin W F McClare, an Oxford University Bio-Physicist, discovered that frequencies of vibrating energy are almost 100x more efficient in relaying information than physical signals.

Everything has a vibrating energy field and behind the field is pure energy. This pure energy has a source that is found within everything throughout the universe. What is this source? Consciousness.

 

Our bodies vibrate as they are made of molecules, which are vibrating constantly, and creating electromagnetic energy waves.  Its frequency has been measured at 9-16hz, and with this in mind, think of how the food we put into it will either raise or lower that frequency.

 

Changing Vibrations with Feelings


Vibration different is different from light, different from sound.  

We do not raise our vibration by thinking alone.. Vibrational changes occur when taking a different form..like when driven by our feelings. Feelings hold the energy we give to something, and in doing so, create meaning. So, the importance here is that you can truly manage what you think and what you feel! (Most of the time…)

 

 

4 Ways to FEEL Into Your Highest Vibration

 

1.   Understand the truth comes from heart and FEELING. 

2.   Be in the heart not the head. 

3.   Stop over analyzing. 

4.   To raise your vibrations, manage the quality of your thoughts AND feelings.

 

It’s a choice. Watch the news cycles… war...bad news, hurricanes, wildfires, floods.. what happens? Watch Reality TV, the arguments, the gossip....what happens... you become fearful, sad, angry, feel lack – everything mainstream media tends to propagate these days.  Your feelings are dramatically affected, your vibration is lowered.

 

Moreover, look at the pandemic. It existed in fear, and low-vibe messaging 24/7. It was awful. Being cognizant of how you feel about things will shape your experience in the world around you. Managing your vibrational feelings will be easier through balance. Cultivate and nurture high vibrational states of being, like love, gratitude, and compassion as they carry and resonate with the highest vibes.


Supercharge Your Mind and Body 


So it’s about Balance.. how you think and feel about things will shape your experience in the world around you. With high frequency thoughts of love, joy and gratitude and using meditation we can raise the energy field of our bodies and mind. I want you to consider meditation akin to plugging in your phone. The more apps are open, the faster your device drains. Close them down, sit still in a quiet state. The higher our conscious mind is elevated, the closer to the Source of energy we receive.

 


To supercharge your vibration, and attract what you wish for your life’s experiences, raise the bar on how you think and feel. It’s about creating awareness around your thoughts. When triggered, pause and take a breath.. and simply observe them. Do this again and again until it becomes a way of life, and watch as your life changes before you.
